Multimedia Localization
Video game localization, e-learning course adaptation, mobile app UI strings, and interactive media content for European language markets including Spanish, French, German, Portuguese and Italian.
About this service
Multimedia localization is different from document translation in a way that is easy to describe but hard to execute: the text only makes sense in context. A button label that overflows in German. An NPC name that has an unintended meaning in French. A tutorial instruction that assumes left-to-right reading behaviour in a game that is being played right-to-left. We handle video game localization covering UI strings, NPC dialogue, item names, tutorial copy, menu systems, and in-game narrative. For each game we create and maintain a character lexicon that tracks the voice, register and personality of every named character across all dialogue. We also localize e-learning courses including SCORM-packaged content, video narration scripts, quiz content, and supporting materials. For mobile app localization we accept JSON, XLIFF, PO, and YAML format files and return them in the same format.
