Puente de Vallecas, Madrid.

Eleven years in the same neighbourhood, with the same core team, the same standard.

We started in 2013 with a team of three translators specialised in legal and technical documentation for Spanish businesses operating in international markets. The first project was translating a series of export contracts for a Toledo metalworking firm. We delivered on time. The client referred us to another business. That is how it started.

What distinguishes us is not the number of languages or delivery speed. It is specialisation. When a simultaneous interpretation project for an EU Commission event comes in, we do not assign it to someone who also does website translation. It goes to someone who has worked in interpretation booths for years. When a biopharmaceutical patent arrives, it goes to someone who understands organic chemistry, not someone with a general translation degree.

Eleven years on record

2013

Founded

Translators International opens in Puente de Vallecas, Madrid, with three specialist translators and an initial focus on legal and technical documentation for Spanish export businesses.

2015

First conference contract

Our first simultaneous interpretation contract is for a Madrid trade fair, covering four language booths. We establish our interpreter coordination methodology, which has remained largely unchanged since.

2017

Patent division launched

After completing our first major PCT filing project for a biotech client, we formalise a dedicated patent translation division with specialist translators trained in IP documentation across engineering, chemistry and life sciences.

2019

Multimedia localization

The growth of Madrid as a video game development hub leads us to build a dedicated multimedia localization team, starting with two major Spanish game studio clients and expanding to cover e-learning and app localization.

2021

MT Post-Editing added

With machine translation improving significantly across our key language pairs, we introduce a professional post-editing service that allows clients to reduce costs on high-volume projects while maintaining publication-ready output quality.

2023

Ten years

We complete our 1,800th project. The same core team that started in 2013 is still operating from Puente de Vallecas, joined by 40 additional specialist translators, interpreters, and localization engineers.

Puente de Vallecas, Madrid
